.. i think its because something involving rent. He and two other friends were trying to start a business or something, and they used a building for rent but i guess the rent wasn't payed or something.. one day, he came home really happy (which he most of the time isn't, so it seemed genuine) and told my mom that "its finally payed off".. but today at night, a man came to my door (i was home alone) and gave me a thick, stapled packet that said we're being sued for not paying rent.. It says we have to pay like $25k.. I'm really worried because I don't want my dad to get stressed out, and we're not rich, so i don't know how we're gonna get $25,000... my mom's really upset, and they both work really hard.. my mom sometimes goes to work every day of the week, and my dads getting old.. I know its hard to determine without knowing the case in detail, but can anyone tell me what might happen?.. my parents are really sketchy and quiet about financial stuff with me because they always tell me "not to worry about it."
